San Francisco Bay Area levees, on average, need to be raised 7 feet over the next 80 years to protect cities and infrastructure from severe damage and flooding caused by expected sea level rise. The only way levees can be built taller and stronger is with clean dirt excavated from construction sites in the region. This video takes you to a levee project under way with South Bay Salt Pond Restoration Project near Union City.
